Lets Get Nerdy: Shea and Cocoa butter are proven skin moisturizers. Shea butter has soothing and anti-aging properties that may make skin appear smoother and reduce aging. Cocoa butter is high in fatty acids, which is why it’s often touted for its ability to hydrate and nourish the skin and improve elasticity. The fat in cocoa butter forms a protective barrier over skin to hold in moisture. Ylang Ylang oil is both antiseptic and contains anti-inflammatory properties. It also has anti-aging properties and preserves the health and youthfulness of the skin. Rich in vitamin C antioxidants, grapefruit oil calms inflammation, promotes collagen production, and increases cellular turnover to unclog pores.
